The Lemon Street Market CSA is open now through June 1st (or until we hit our participant limit). There are three options you can sign up for (choose one or all three):
- “Abundant” CSA – 17 weeks of fresh, local food for $500.00
- Cheese Share – 9 weeks of local cheese from Farm Fromage for $216.00
- Pantry Share – 9 weeks of local/regional pantry items for $216.00
At Lemon Street Market, we work with a number of local growers. Every year, they have an abundance of Lancaster and York counties’ finest fruits and vegetables. So, when we heard that some popular CSAs were closing, we thought we could try to fill some of the void AND share the abundant harvest with you! Our farmers include (but are not limited to): Horn Farm Center, Hellam; Ruth Lapp, New Providence; Alex Wenger, Lititz; Amy Yocom, Millersville; and Dietz Produce, York.
Since we are working with a number of different growers, we will be able to offer more variety than most CSAs can offer. Our pantry share will showcase wonderful local organic or GMO-free products, and our cheese share is curated by Farm Fromage for your enjoyment. Pick-up will be every Thursday from 11AM-7PM (the store closes at 7PM) starting June 7.
How much produce will I receive?
Each week, you will receive 8-10 items. This includes seasonal produce, salad fixings, onions or garlic, culinary herbs, and seasonal fruits or berries.
What do I get with my cheese share?
You will receive 2 half pound pieces of cheese curated by Farm Fromage every other week for a total of 9 shares.
What do I get with my pantry share?
You will receive two to four items at $24 per week (generally a 10-15% discount off of retail). Items will be local or regional items, and you may choose either omnivore or vegan option.
What about flowers?
Rather than a flower share, this year we will have local, chem-free flowers for sale during CSA pickup days whenever available.
What if I don’t like an item in my CSA produce share?
We will provide a swap box for produce share members to swap one item for a different item if desired. Swap box instructions will be further explained in your first newsletter and at pickup.
Is the produce organic?
All produce is chemical free (“organic methods”) and sustainably grown. We will make sure to let you know where your food comes from and how it was grown.
When does the season start and how long will it run?
The Abundant Share runs June 7 – September 27 for a total of 17 weeks. Biweekly cheese and pantry shares run every other week from June 7 – September 27 for a total of 9 weeks.
Do you provide recipes or other information about the produce you grow?
You will receive recipes in your weekly newsletter, we will share our Pinterest recipe boards, and you are always welcome to chat with our staff members for more ideas!
Has my produce been washed before I receive it?
All produce is field washed to remove soil, but you should wash your produce before it is prepared.
How long will my produce stay fresh?
Storage and handling is key to freshness. All produce is best eaten fresh or frozen as soon as possible. Tips will be provided to give you a 7-10 day window to consume your weekly share.

New this year!
CSA Member Potluck on the Farm – This year we will host an end-of-season CSA member potluck so that we can all get to know one another and share in the bounty of our CSA.
One Skip Week – You may skip one week during the season if needed! You must give us advance notice and will receive a store gift card for that week’s share.
Swap Box – Swap box for swapping one item per week with other CSA members if desired.
